© 1999 is a 30-minute companion
program to "Beyond Bombs." It will shine a strong light on the
destructive and desolate crime against women to devastate family and community
as a strategic act of ethnic cleansing, which the U.N. Tribunal has defined,
in 1994, as a war crime. Some world leaders are being tried and convicted
of this crime, but there is little media to give important evidence that
"The World" is punishing war criminals for rape. The producer
believes the subject is underexposed and there is much to be gained by this
production. Eventually, the message could affect domestic violence in general. |
