Producer and founder of GLOBAL CONVERSATIONS, Gari Lovaas Leary, was awarded the Eli Bojack Blackfeather  Hollywood and The Stars Native American New Millenium Award on September 26, 2001 at the Intertribal Friendship House. Bojack, a member of the Native American Honor Society and the Southern California Motion Pictures Council, said he was recognizing Ms. Leary's hard work and honoring her for her achievements.  "We are inspired by the example you set for us all.  You are an outstanding leader and role model for others to follow."   Ms. Leary's interest in the culture of the original people of America has been expressed in NEWS EUROPE productions on German Fascination with American Indians on the  television series on San Francisco Channel 25 (1992) and public service announcements for the American Indian Film Festival. She is currently in production of a one-hour public affairs style documentary Native Americans Fascinate Europeans, which introduces the television audience to members of the Tribes of the Great Plains who have been cultural ambassadors to Europe, following a tradition of being invited into homes and palaces of European countries for over 100 years.

The documentary will be shown in the San Francisco Bay Area on public television as part of the GLOBAL CONVERSATIONS series, an essential bridge of communication in our rapidly changing  world.

Ms. Leary is the founder of INSIDE/OUTSIDE PRODUCTIONS, Executive producer of the television series NEWS EUROPE and the newly expanded GLOBAL CONVERSATIONS, which will be seen throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area and northern California.
